Registered voters who will be away from Pittsylvania County on election day, or who are unable to go to the polls because of illness or disability, may vote by absentee ballot. Eligible citizens may vote in person prior to election day, or apply to have an absentee ballot mailed to them. Virginia law requires a reason to vote absentee.
All military and overseas citizens should complete the Federal Post Card Application (FPCA) to request an absentee ballot. Additional information for military and overseas voters can be found on the State Board of Elections website.
